Kieran Flanagan's Biography

Kieran Flanagan is a female leader in a world of mad men.

 

Kieran has been involved in creating some of the most successful brand and product launches in Australian history, including the most successful Coca Cola launch anywhere in the world: Coke Zero.

 

In addition to being one of the only female Creative Directors in an industry dominated by men (who are quite literally “a bit mad”), Kieran Flanagan also became one of the youngest Creative Directors to lead a multi-award winning advertising agency.

 

In an impressive career, Kieran has lead multinational accounts across multidisciplinary departments at McCann, Smart, Kindred and VCD - a team she helped build into the agency of the year in her first three years in the industry. Before joining McCann, Kieran was Creative Director at SMART, and a founding member of VCD, the agency that was to eventually become Kindred. During this time, she has worked on a diverse range of clients including Unilever, Coca Cola, the NRL, Nando’s, Opera Australia and NRMA.

 

In that time, she also helped direct the strategy and creative behind the most successful new product launch in Australia history, has won awards around the world for creativity and effectiveness and spent three years running Australia's premier creativity school, AWARD.

Kieran has a degree in Visual Communications, and a bag of awards and award finalists under her belt; including Award Pencils, Folio Awards, Caxton Awards, Cannes Lions and London international awards.
