David Staughton
David Staughton has over 20 years experience in a broad range of industries including Mining, Retail, Marketing, Hospitality, Franchise, Travel, Tourism & Consulting. He’s been passionate about business since working in the family hardware store at age 6.
David is a qualified Geologist and worked for five of Australia’s largest Mining Companies. He left to start his own hospitality business and ‘become a Millionaire by age 30’.
In 15 years he grew a function venue empire in Victoria. He built an enthusiastic, high energy hospitality team and hosted more than 2000 weddings & functions - winning Australian Bridal Industry awards three years in a row. He mastered the art of selling off-peak functions and had the busiest single room reception in Victoria.
David Staughton owned and operated a Retail Travel Agency for 7 years and was Chairman of Dandenong Ranges Tourism Association for 3 years. He was on the Yarra Valley & Dandenong Ranges Tourism Board and successfully established and operated the local Dandenong Ranges Visitor Information Centre. David Staughton is a passionate , lively and energetic keynote presenter.
