Mike Bailey

Mike Bailey has been a part of both television and radio almost every day for more than 25 years, known especially for his weather segments on ABC-TV and Radio Networks across New South Wales each weekday. He is one of the most identifiable and credible voices in local media.
A journalist and broadcaster, Mike Bailey has also hosted current affairs, news-talk, talk back and music programs on 2GB, 2KY, Radio 2, and several community radio outlets. Mike Bailey presented television news bulletins on ABC-TV and the Seven Network, for over 13 years. He also produced news, current affairs programs and documentaries, and hosted AFL telecasts for three seasons.
Mike Bailey’s work in print journalism has included a weekly column with The Sun-Herald over seven years; monthly columns in gardening and surfing publications; and occasional freelance travel articles.
Mike Bailey is also course co-ordinator and lecturer in Journalism at Macleay College in Sydney. He continues to act as facilitator, host and guest speaker for many functions for both corporate and charity groups and has also been on the Board of several charitable organisations.
Mike Bailey has been an Australia Day Ambassador since 1999. Among his Awards is the Archbishop of Sydney Citation in recognition of outstanding contribution to Christian ideals in radio and television presented by Cardinal Edward Clancy in 1990.
