Steve Jacobs
As an acclaimed host, Steven Jacobs has many credits to his name. These include the ‘Rock Eisteddfod Challenge’ and the Top 40 Program on ‘Sky Radio’ which he hosted for several years and the Olympic Torch Relay in 2000. He joined ‘The Car Show’ as a reporter in 2002 and in 2003 became a reporter for ‘Channel Nine's’ popular travel show ‘Postcards’. He has also presented a number of television specials including ‘The World's Funniest Commercials’, ‘World's Greatest Dummy Spits’, ‘World's Greatest Stunts And Stuff Ups and Caught on Camera 2’.
Steve Jacobs has travelled to all corners of Australia as the weather presenter on ‘The Today Show’ for the ‘Nine Network’ where his appeal and energy have seen him become an integral part of the network’s line up. This culminated in him hosting the premiere of the game show, ‘The Power of Ten’.
Steve Jacobs got his first big break in his home town of Wollongong, NSW, when he signed up to host a children's program Kids News, on WIN-TV. He ended up writing and producing the show for five years from (1985 - 1990).He then took a role in the ‘Channel 9’ comedy ‘All Together Now’ receiving much acclaim. After more than 100 episodes with the hit comedy, Steven further showcased his talent in diverse roles. These include ‘Saturday at Rick’s’, ‘Just Kidding’, ‘What’s Up Doc?’ ‘Hey Hey it’s Saturday’ and ‘In Melbourne Tonight’. Also an accomplished actor, Steven notched up titles including ‘Come in Spinner’ and ‘Sixty Seconds’.
A passionate entertainer and host, Steve also loves music. He has an independent record label, ‘AJP Music’, giving opportunities to new upcoming Australian artists. Enjoying performing comedy and live events, Steven draws audiences into his performances, through his vibrant and witty style. Working on either side of the camera, Steve Jacobs is a dynamic entertainer who is an actor, host, writer, researcher, and producer.
