Richard Anderson
Richard Anderson, an accountant from Western Australia, is the founder of Jesters Jaffle Pies. After passing by a deli in Claremont and seeing 3 different jaffle pies on offer, he approached the owner of the deli, Cindy Finlayson, about setting up a specialty pie shop.
Richard Anderson spent the next two years building the business and perfecting the systems. Cindy concentrated on creating 15 different recipes whilst Richard, with a background in accounting and consultancy, concentrated on the business structure of the business. In 1997 the first Jesters Jaffle Pies store was opened.
Jesters have successfully tapped into a niche of the $5 billion (and growing fast) fast food industry with a unique and traditionally popular product.
Jesters have over 30 stores in Perth and 8 stores in Melbourne with plans well under way to expand into all states and New Zealand in 2005.
Due to the success of Jesters, all franchise territories have been sold in WA. Richard Anderson shares his success as a business speaker and motivational speaker.
As a qualified Chartered Accountant and prior to founding Jesters, Richard operated his own small business advisory firm and worked for an investment bank in London.
As Managing Director, Richard’s role in the company includes management of the administration, legal and finance areas. He also oversees the smooth running of the franchise operations and human resource development and training.
