Andrew Rochford

Formerly known as the Block Doc, Andrew became known to Australia’s TV viewers through appearing and winning the 2004 series of ‘The Block’ . The series made Andrew a household name and from there his media career flourished. Today he finds himself as one of the hosts of the popular Channel 10 show, ‘The Project’.

Before joining Channel 10 in 2012, Andrew spent a number of years at Channel 9 where he presented shows such as “What's Good for You” the ‘Waiting Room’, a medical-based factual reality program, ‘You Saved My Life’ and ‘Amazing Medical Stories’ which Andrew narrated and hosted. These shows gave Andrew the opportunity to combine his history and knowledge in medicine and develop his skills & popularity as a broad based TV presenter.

Andrew’s accomplished skills as a TV presenter, his vibrant personality, slick intellect, and genuinely engaging style later saw him ease into a new and exciting role co-hosting Sydney’s Mix 106.5 radio station’s breakfast program, The Brighter Side of Breakfast with Clair Hooper in 2011.

Andrew is a graduate of The University of Sydney Medical School (Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery), completing the graduate medical program with honours. To compliment this he also holds a Bachelors Degree in Medical Science from the University of Sydney, majoring in Anatomy and Neuroscience.

Andrews ability to excel saw his work published in the journal Neurosurgery as part of a research project for the Cerebrovascular Centre at Royal North Shore Hospital.

Andrew is a devoted husband and father of three young children – a boy and twin girls, and when he is not gracing our TV screens, he is likely to be picking the kids up from soccer or building a sandcastle on his much loved Northern beaches. Andrew also loves the outdoors and counts running as one of his passions. He is an ambassador for a number of causes and charities, primarily focusing on health related issues in our community and the promotion of an active lifestyle for all Australians.

It is the combination of Andrew’s sincerity, wit, & warmth, that has earned him a broad appeal with a national audience. Andrew continues to be in high demand as one of Australia’s most popular talent.
