Mahalia Barnes

Mahalia Barnes is an Australian singer/songwriter, daughter of well known Australian rock singer Jimmy Barnes. She began performing as part of kiddie pop group The Tin Lids with siblings, Eliza-Jane and Jackie; but has since become a respected session and backup singer.
After eight years and almost a thousand gigs, Mahalia Barnes is releasing her debut album, Mahalia Barnes + The Soul Mates Volume 1 - Mahalia has been obsessed with soul music since her teens.
For the past decade she has been singing with the Jimmy Barnes band as a back-up and featured vocalist. Then, about eight years ago she started doing her own gigs in soul and jazz clubs around Sydney. Through those club shows she established her own network of musicians.
Performer and back up vocalist for many well known and respected artists, Mahalia is truly at home with her music.
