Tony Fountain

Tony Fountain is a “country lad” who, as they say ”went to the big smoke and made good”. He has been an auctioneer for over 40 years and has sold right across Australia and in Indonesia (where he ran the first ever Indonesian real estate auction) New Zealand and the USA.
In his business career he took his small town stock and station agency from that town to where he and his Fountain & Co light aircraft were familiar sights right across Australia as he flew his sales team from auction to auction.
In 1970 Tony Fountain co-founded CRT (Combined Rural Traders Ltd), now one of Australia’s leading rural merchandise marketers. In 1972 his company, Fountain & Co in conjunction with a Sydney based agency, were the pioneers of computer based marketing of livestock.
In 1988 he moved base to Sydney and co-founded the NSW branch of Ray White Real Estate and had them auction market leaders within 22 months of commencing as a “start-up” operation. The office numbers have grown from an initial 8 in 1988 to over 230 in early 2006 with a multi billion dollar sales turnover.
He saw the world of politics from “the inside” during his four term national presidency of the Australian Democrats in the early to mid 1990’s.
Tony was also Marketing Manager of the Santa Gertrudis Beef Breeders Association, now Australia’s third largest beef breed, where at his instigation, the Accredited Commercial Sales concept was launched and fully developed.Known as the Rainbow Chaser, Tony Fountain draws from a myriad of experiences to motivates audience to believe in themselves and to rise to the challenges of achieving their own personal and business success.
In his two main addresses “Success starts with a Dream” (motivational) and ”Winning the Battle” (business) he draws heavily on not only his own life’s experiences but also those of others that are applicable to his clients wants and direction.
Tony has addressed Conferences and groups in every State and territory of Australia and in Indonesia, PNG, New Zealand and the USA. His laconic sense humour, combined with homilies and ”straight from the shoulder” common sense talking have given many people the inspiration to also “stand up and have a go”, believe in themselves and lift their own, and their enterprises, fortunes.
Tony Fountain is also a published author with his book on selling real estate by auction now TAFE reading and sales have been made across Australia and into China, Indonesia, PNG, New Zealand, South Africa and the USA.
