Lloyd Bond
Lloyd Bond is a master imagineer whose creative genius has transformed more than 1000 project challenges into commercial winners; especially in the arenas of creative learning, media, entertainment, themed architecture, special events, tourism, fashion, music and the science of creativity.
With the exception of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games Lloyd Bond’s achievements are better known in Japan, China, the USA and Europe than Australia. Lloyd is a conceptualist, creative director, scientist, designer, inventor, futurist, corporate consultant, author, composer, producer, teacher, university lecturer, public speaker and a media presenter.
In the mid 1960’s, Lloyd joined News Limited as a young journalist and within a few years he was promoted to a variety of editorial, marketing and creative roles before being appointed a personal assistant to Rupert Murdoch and eventually to CEO of divisions of what had become News Corporation. In 1977, after quitting the News Group to establish his own company, Lloyd became founding publisher of Australian Penthouse magazine then creative director of Network TEN’s coverage of the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games before he and his family relocated to Queensland’s Gold Coast from where he operates The Centre for Evolving Imagination.
Lloyd Bond established Australia’s first dedicated theme company through which he designed theme parks, hotels, casinos, cities of the future; restaurants and created and produced special events throughout the world. Between 1997 and October 2000, Lloyd was the creative director, a producer, composer and segment director for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, opening, closing and Team Welcome Ceremonies.
His past and present clients include Honda Japan, Universal Studios USA, News Corp, Disney Corporation USA, Hilton Casinos Las Vegas, Fosters Brewing, The Prime Minister of Malaysia, The Sultan of Brunei and Coca Cola.
Since the Sydney 2000 Olympics, he has synergized his boundless imagination and 30 years of global creative experience to research and make great discoveries relating to the science and possibilities of individual and corporate imagination, creative intelligence and intellectual property.
