Sally Browne’s presentations focus on Challenges, Change and Choices, she is an expert in managing change and offers fresh insights into future opportunities, current possibilities and strategies to be victors of change, not victims of change. Sally is currently involved in a fascinating 2 year project called BREAKTHROUGH, which focuses on change. Sally explains “In our careers, personal adventures or sporting endeavours we get to a point, when it gets tough, and we are tempted to go back to our comfort zone, "the known area". However this is the point of break down or break through and if we go forward we break through, and it is thrilling, exhilarating, exciting, it’s like life juice!”
The BREAKTHROUGH project involves Sally living 20 totally different lives for 28 days each. It is a journey of absolute challenge, commitment and discovery, for focused 28-day cycles. During July and August 2005, Sally lived adventurously in Africa for 28 days which involved walking safaris in Kenya with the Masai Mara tribe, climbing Table Mountain in Cape Town and climbing to the summit of Mt Kilamanjaro in Tanzania. Sally truly believes we can achieve whatever we commit to...it may not be at an Olympiad level, but with dedication, focus and preparation we can surprise ourselves with our ability to master challenges.
Sally Browne is committed to encouraging and mentoring the next wave of business leaders. She personally mentors a number of young business people and in the 1990’s she was the founder of the Business World Young Heroes Awards. The criteria of the awards are to salute and reward young business people that pursue their goals and take the leap of faith with self-belief to launch and succeed with their business dream.
Sally Browne is co-founder of ‘women in high heels’, a group of high profile businesswomen with a social conscience. Sally is an Ambassador for Museum Victoria, and an Australia Day Ambassador and serves on a number of committees and is involved in fundraising for many charities.
