Mia Handshin

With over a decade of experience as a speaker at all levels, from schools to International conference podiums, Mia Handshin is a polished keynote presenter, MC and host, an engaging social commentator, an enthusiastic discussion panel member and a skillful and challenging workshop or seminar facilitator.
Mia Handshin has worked extensively with young people, in a mentoring, training and facilitator capacity around issues of leadership, decision-making, team building, motivation, success and achievement and self-awareness. She has spoken at countless graduations, induction ceremonies, assemblies and seminars involving students. However Mia has a broad appeal with a message that is relevant to everyone.
Audiences of all ages respond to Mia’s powerful presence and passion. Mia offers audience members the opportunity to come to an expanded sense of self to enable them to experience their fullness, in all facets of life.
Mia began representing her peers as President of her primary school SRC. Having completed her Bachelor of Arts in 1998, Mia completed her final year of a Bachelor of Law at the University of Adelaide in 2000. During 2001 and 2002, Mia worked as Associate to Adelaide Barrister Robert Cameron. She attended a student and young professional’s Symposium on International Conflict Resolution and Mediation, in The Netherlands, in July 2001.
Mia Handshin has worked as a consultant to Save the Children, South Australia and the Youth Affairs Council of South Australia and completed a 2 month internship with the International Crisis Group in Brussels, Belgium in April 2003. Currently Mia is completing a Certificate in Wholistic Psychology with the College for Actualizing Human Potential. Mia has written a weekly column for The Advertiser newspaper since 1997, and has had a professional speaking business since 1998.
