Ben first made his mark on television with the documentary series, Ben Dark’s Australia, which saw him hop in his old holden statesman and intrace the journeys of early explorers. He used their amazing stories of adventure and survival as the basis for his travels. This six part series has been repeated every year since it was first broadcast in 1998 and it has been sold around the world.
Getaway was the gateway to the world for Ben – a glittering prime-time showcase for his talents millions of viewers each week enjoy watching Ben travel Australia and the world. During Ben’s five years on the show they’ve seen him try just about everything from diving off giant sky tower in New Zealand to battling it out at Gladiator school in Rome… going head-to-head with Jerry Springer and coming face-to-face with a raging bull elephant in Africa
Ben has been constantly in demand to star on other nine Network shows because of his unique style and ability to cross over different genres. Ben has been a guest reporter on The National IQ Test (The highest rating show on Australian television for 2002) A Current Affair and A Current Affair Farmhand Appeal. More recently Ben featured in Celebrity Apprentice in 2012.
