Tina Altieri
TV anchor, professional compere and travel writer Tina Altieri is a sparkling personality and a polished presenter who has mastered the art of engaging an audience – be it on live TV or in a public speaking environment. She commenced her career in the media as a radio reporter, shortly after joining the Channel Ten Eyewitness News team and, in doing so, became the youngest newsreader in Australia. Tina Altieri made her screen debut at age 19. In 1992, she was invited to be a current affairs reporter for STW Channel Nine Perth and after 18 months was elevated to the position of co-anchor of the nightly news bulletin.
Internationally Tina Altieri was recently asked to be guest presenter on Channel News Asia's current affairs program “In Asia Tonight” – which is beamed throughout South East Asia. She is currently watched by audiences in Australia and New Zealand on Sky News. In addition to News, Tina has written and produced special reports for Channel Nine and Seven. She's also relished the opportunity to co produce and present documentaries including the National Walkley Award winning “They Said Don't Worry – The Deborah Maybury Story” which aired throughout Australia and in many overseas cities.
Tina Altieri is also involved in hosting premier events including the WA Tourism Awards, Australian Furniture Awards, Amex Gold Plate and Telstra Business Woman Award. In addition, she comperes the annual and largest family concert in Perth – Carols by Candlelight – which attracts 15,000 people every Christmas. Her enthusiasm for her profession is evident as she performs more than just a “celebrity appearance” as MC for an event. Tina relishes the opportunity to attend pre-production meetings and takes an active role in scripting and creating a unique atmosphere as part of the total production of a special function.
Tina has compered numerous large corporate events throughout South East Asia and includes on a list of “event highlights” her invitation to compere the exclusive Australian Premier Fashion Designer Showcase at Hong Kong Fashion Week.
This effervescent presenter supports a large number of charities including The Cancer Foundation, Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) and Tina is Patron of Nulsen Haven, which cares for severely mentally handicapped people. The Variety Club of Australia has made her an honorary “Footlight Ambassador.”
Tina Altieri is a sought after media/ public speaking trainer who's clients have included BHP Billiton and Telstra. She has also recently conducted workshops for reporters and anchors at Singapore's Channel NewsAsia to improve on-air presentation. Tina relishes the role of mediator, chairperson and guest interviewer for conferences and seminars.
