Carmen Braidwood's Biography

Born and raised in the Perth hills, Carmen started her career as a producer at 6PR and 92.9. She was an announcer-copywriter in WA and won audiences across Victoria for five years as host of the Ace Radio Network's breakfast show before being named the Gold Coast's best new presenter (TV & Radio) for her work on Sea TV.

Since 2011 she's been popular with audiences, not just for her show on Perth's 96fm, but for her many local and national TV appearances, regular high-profile work as an event MC, and for sharing stories about her life as a step-mum with sites including news.com.au

A familiar face on TV, Carmen is a regular contributor to Nine News Perth panel segment, “The Pulse” and appears each week on WA-produced travel and lifestyle show, Destination WA, which airs nationally on Channel Nine.

The thing many people don't know about Carmen is that she's been hosting live events longer than she's been broadcasting, cutting her teeth on Murder Mystery and Time Travel Parties as a university student, back in the early 2000's. Hiring Carmen means your event is in the safe hands of a professional with close to 20 years behind the mic.

In addition to radio and TV, Carmen is in demand as a creator of branded digital content. In 2017she created the popular Facebook Group Perthling, which celebrates all there is to see, do and try in Perth and WA. As a creative she has partnered with The City of Perth, The City of Armadale, Shinju Matsuri Festival and others.

She's also a proud wife & step-mum and considers herself an unofficial ambassador for her much-loved home state of WA
