Craig Lovett's Biography

Craig Lovett is arguably one of the most experienced people today in the area of cleaning and waste strategies for venues and events around the world. His experience comes from the daily hands-on approach to growing his business on a global basis, however nowadays Craig is invited to speak all over the world on venue design, the importance of cleaning and waste integration, and the systems now used to ensure environmental integrity at events and venues.

The instigator for developing systems now accepted as common practice, his knowledge has been applied to "cradle to grave" systems in his field. This requires a total design management of waste streaming from environmental packaging, through to on-site recycling and education of all stakeholders, through to the end result being handled in a composting, recycling, or re-usable manner.
Both his company Cleanevent, and Craig personally have been the benefactor of many awards recognising excellence in these fields, and also for the growth and export success of his Australian based business.
Over the past 21 years Craig has taken a small Australian company to a world-wide recognised success, and through that success, Cleanevent enjoys almost a monopoly on the skills and expertise required to deliver the high calibre of services to venues and events, requiring a totally different approach than a "square metre cleaning" mentality applied to everyday building cleaning.
It is all about mobilising large numbers of people, large numbers of equipment, amazing forward planning; “fit for purpose” company designed and owned scoping technology programs, and ultimately seeing the big picture of clients’ venues and events. His business skills and relationship skills have ensured loyal staff and clients throughout Australia, United States of America, United Kingdom, Europe and more recently the Middle East.
As Founder of the Cleanevent Group, Craig Lovett maintains an active interest in every business unit, but in particular a Project Team Leader/Principle role in all major domestic and global events, including the following:

2006 Melbourne Commonwealth games (Project Team Leader/Principle)
2006 Doha Asian games (Project Team Leader/Principle)
Athens 2004 Olympics & Paralympics Games (Project Team Leader/Principle)
Sydney 2000 Olympic & Paralympics Games (Project Team Leader/Principle)
2002 Salt Lake City Olympic Winter Games (Project Team Leader/Principle)
1996 Atlanta Olympic Games (Project Team Leader/Principle)
2002 Manchester Commonwealth Games (Project Team Leader/Principle)
Australian Formula One Grand Prix – 1993 to present (Project Team Leader/Principle)
Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix – 1998 to present (Project Team Leader/Principle)
The Championships, Wimbledon – 2001 to present (Project Team Leader/Principle)
US Open Tennis Championships – 1999 to 2003 (Project Team Leader/Principle)
Australian Open Tennis Championships – 1999 to 2002 (Project Team Leader/Principle)
In June 2008, Craig founded and launched Incognitus, a consulting and strategic business advice company, focused on the provision of Strategy, Solutions and Sustainability within the Venues, Events and Retail sector. As a true Global advice business, which draws on 22 years of service to the sector, Incognitus will be a new chapter in Lovett’s book of acheivements.
Typically, a story about Luck v Opportunity, Craig Lovett does not believe in luck “unless you are gambling”, more so if you put yourself in the right space and look around, an opportunity will most always be nearby. Craig Lovett is an active member of the Young Presidents Organisation (YPO), an International organisation dedicated to better leadership through education and knowledge exchange.
