Daisy Pearce's Biography

Daisy was born in Bright, Victoria and started playing football from a young age at the local Auskick centre. Daisy’s dad was the coach of the under 13’s team at Bright Football Club where Daisy went on to play alongside her older brother and was the only girl in the team. Daisy played for Bright until she was 15 and moved to Melbourne and started school at Eltham High School.

Without knowing that the Victorian Women’s Football League existed Daisy thought her football playing days were over and turned to Volleyball instead. She represented Victoria in Volleyball in the Under 16 and Under 17 age groups. Whilst playing school football for Eltham High School an onlooker introduced her to the idea of a women’s football league. That week (in 2005) she joined the Darebin Falcons where Peta Searle (now St Kilda Development Coach) was coaching in her debut season. Daisy played her first game of senior football for the Falcons as a 16 year old and is now in her 13th season at the same Club.

She has gone on to have a long and successful playing career that has both benefited from and contributed to its exciting evolution.

Daisy went to university and worked as a Midwife for nearly five years. Now, as a result of seeking out a range of additional opportunities and experiences within the industry along the way her career now extends beyond the field, working as an ambassador for the game in many ways.
