Testimonials for Damian Callinan

Damian Callinan set the scene for a great night acknowledging and celebrating the best of Victorian sport at the 2012 Victorian Sport Awards. Troy's re-creation of his losing half time speech was hilarious and also drew in many of the dignitaries and guests in the room. Other legendary football coaches, namely David Parkin and Craig Bellamy, won awards at the event and those attending have been talking ever since about the inspiring speeches made by the 'three' big name coaches on the night. Well done Troy!

Mark McAllion - CEO Vicsport, 2012 Victorian Sport Awards

What a superb job you did yesterday at the Roaring Forties Lunch! Thank you! That half time address is hysterical, I laughed right from the start, as did nearly every person in that ballroom. It is no wonder the Roaring Forties love using you.

Sarah Bernard Event Management, Roaring 40's Post AFL Grand Final Lunch

Damian is a standout, gifted Comedian and MC with a great ability to tune in to any audience. I first saw him as MC of the annual "Opera in the Otways" [Cape Otway/ Apollo Bay - 300 people] He was very funny and entertaining. The second time was as Comedian - 'Troy the country football coach' at the Bendigo Bank State Conference [450 people - Bankers and Partners] He had the room in stitches and did not offend.

Michael Daunt - Board Member - Creswick Community Bank Bendigo Bank State Conference

It was the perfect act for the bank's conference. You tailored your act to perfectly suit the theme of our night. The act went off without a hitch and was thoroughly enjoyed by both our community directors and staff alike. A fantastic night. Thanks.

Tim Rodda - Victoria Area Manager, Bendigo & Adelaide Bank

Just wanted to send a quick note to say thank you Damian for your fantastic efforts as our MC on the night. We have had so much great feedback about you Damian - you really did help to make the night even better than it has been in previous years. Thanks for being so flexible and accommodating around timing, seating and the program. We would be very interested in exploring having you as MC again next year.

His other recent acclaimed national tours have included The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) with State Theatre Company SA: The 5th time Damian has performed this celebrated work and Road Trip with Mickey D and a documentary film crew. Damian toured with the doco team again in 2017 to create Townfolk: a show about the people that give each town its character.

His new show Swing Man, which premiered to high acclaim at MICF 2016, will be touring every state in the nation in 2018. Swing Man brings to the stage Callinan's attempt to learn how to Swing Dance in 3 months.
