Co-Founder and Director, Team Gene David Peake is an Organisational Psychologist, Strategy, Leadership and Change Expert. An executive and CEO Coach, for over 25 years David has been fast-tracking change efforts for increased ROI.

 

David has specialist expertise in creating innovative business strategies and business transformation, talent management, leadership and change management.

 

David was a pioneer of competency modelling and assessment in Australia whilst HRD Manager for Hewlett-Packard, linking business strategy to capability requirements for competitive difference. The intellectual property and processes involved are now being made available to organisations through a new business called "Team Gene".

 

As we say, "Some teams perform, others excel". Team Gene maps over 180 different competences, styles, values, neuro preferences and group dynamics to pinpoint the team gene required to deliver project or unit outcomes, all with unparalleled precision.

 

Of particular interest is applying insights from cultural research to business transformation and strategy deployment activities. Australians are unique in terms of our underlying drivers and motivators, and this holds the key to unlocking discretionary effort required to drive strategy and change initiatives at rapid speed.

 

David has a particular passion for innovative thinking that can dramatically reshape a business. He has conducted well over 1000 programs in leadership and management development, change management, group processes, strategic planning, competency based selection and communication. Specifically with regard to the brief, David has delivered well over 200 programs specifically on leadership and has facilitated over 100 large-scale strategic planning sessions.

 

David is a member of the Australian Psychological society, and at various times a member of the Australian Institute of Management, the Australian Human Resources Institute, and the Australian Institute of Training and Development. David also holds advanced accreditation in Margerison-McCann Team Management Systems, Herman Brain Dominance Instrument and holds a license as a leading facilitator in cultural Imprint materials.

 

David has worked in Banking, Insurance, Health, Local and Federal Government, Mining and Energy, IT and Telecommunications with clients including CSIRO, BHP, ANZ, AXA, Department of Defence, Telstra, Optus, NAB, Leightons, CUB, Meryl Lynch and many more.

 

David holds Post Graduate Studies in Psychology and Management from Monash University, and is a sought after public speaker, often delivering the keynote address "Leaders, Bosses and Bastards".
