Testimonials for Jennifer Adams

“I wanted to drop a quick email to say how fantastic and inspiring your keynote speech was today at the Whitehorse Business Week. Your passion for not only your work, but also the team that you work with at Eve Media, is simply outstanding. Two of the most impressive things that I have taken out of today, other than hearing about the wonderful experiences of your travels, are your general passion for travel and life, and how you have successfully balanced the important things in your life: travel, your family and a career. Your speech today has motivated me to continue to pursue my passions - ultra marathon running and raising money for charity which I will continue to do. Congratulations once again - keep up the fantastic work.”

Jennifer Adams's Biography

Jennifer Adams has a passion for telling inspirational stories. Her experience in journalism and as a newsreporter, prime time newsreader, presenter and documentary film maker have ensured she is in high demand as a MC and keynote speaker.

Jennifer Adams always wanted to be a journalist because of a fascination of people and their stories. The stories that she loves doing are always about people, and their spirit - inspirational stories of human spirit.

Jennifer Adams grew up in Eltham and went to Eltham High School, which is well known for its musical prowess. She played clarinet with the Melbourne, then Australian Youth Wind Orchestra. She recently bought a saxophone, which was her lifelong dream - now she just has to find the time to play it!

After finishing her VCE in Eltham, Melbourne, Jennifer headed for the solace of the waves and sand - ending up in Perth at the beach. She accepted a place at Curtain University in Perth and ended up studying Journalism. In the west, she led an idyllic life combining her love for the beach with that of writing and reporting.

Over the course of her studies, Jennifer did voluntarily work for radio station 6NR, learning a great deal from experienced radio personalities. She graduated and returned to Melbourne, then decided to look for work in regional Victoria. WIN TV in Ballarat offered her a journalism cadetship, which she grabbed, and spent the next 18 months learning about TV reporting.

In 1997, Channel Seven Melbourne offered Jennifer a position on the Seven News Team. She is now Seven Melbourne's weekend presenter and one of the team's leading reporters.   In July 2000 Jennifer Adams joined Seven's "Follow the Flame - the Victorian Journey" hosted by Jim Wilson/Peter Mitchell as Channel Seven followed the Olympic torch journey throughout Victoria.

"Follow the Flame" featured live crosses to the torch relay celebration sites with David Johnstone/Anne Fulwood plus highlights of the days' journey with Seven News reporters. This live program traced the steps of some 2165 Victorian torchbearers who visited 161 towns throughout the state.

Jen was also the host of Channel Ten's prime time comedy show "Real Stories" with Hamish and Andy, and was a presenter on Channel Nine's travel show "Wine me dine me" and presented and produced TV specials for the Royal Children's hospital for 8 years.

Jennifer loves the outdoors and keeps fit by running and taking yoga classes. She enjoys cooking but finds it hard to book time in the kitchen these days. Jennifer is also a lover of books - reading whenever she can.   Jennifer is also involved in Reach Youth (founded by Jim Stynes and Paul Currie) an organisation inspiring young people, as she enjoys helping young people believe in their dreams.

Jen has also been a sought after MC and TV presenter for the Melbourne Cup Carnival for 8 years.
