Ross Honeywill will challenge and stimulate delegates through each of his presentations.  A best-selling author and public speaker, Ross shares insights into the social and consumer changes that are reinventing the rules of engagement in both the marketplace and the workplace.  

Ross Honeywill is a management consultant and social scientist. Ross has written four business books – the most recent published in North America in late 2012. He has also had two narrative non-fiction books published and is working on his sixth book, a novel titled Angel’s Trumpet. He recently completed a PhD in Social Philosophy & Gender Equity at the University of Tasmania.  

Widely known for his work as a social researcher who applies value theory to the everyday challenges of developed economies, Ross has spent 16 years measuring and mapping the impact of a changing social fabric on the future of business & politics, of the marketplace and the workplace.  

Ross Honeywill is CEO of the Centre for Social Economics.  

Through his leadership role at KPMG (Asia/Pacific) between 1997 and 2001 and his subsequent work with NEO Consulting Group, Ross is best recognised for his work on the NEO population classification. Drawing on his social research Ross provided guidance to global and national brands that have included Qantas, Telstra, David Jones, Lexus, Sony, Westpac Broking, Moët-Hennessy, National Australia Bank, Yahoo!, Fosters, Macquarie Bank, Energex, TXU Energy among others.  

Ross is also researcher of social intelligence which describes the exclusively human capacity to use very large brains to effectively navigate and negotiate complex social relationships and environments.  

A best-selling author, Ross’ business book NEO Power (Scribe, 2006) created an international following, and his sell-out first book, I-Cons was published in Australia, New Zealand (Random House, 2001) and Mainland China (Citic, 2004). In 2008 Ross’ first literary non-fiction book was launched to critical acclaim at the Melbourne Writers’ Festival. The book Lamarck’s Evolution: two centuries of genius and jealousy (Pier 9) launched Ross to a general readership. His latest book WASTED, the roller-coasterstory of the violent and creative life of Jim McNeil, was published by Penguin in September 2010 (Penguin’s Viking imprint). WASTED was selected in August 2011 as one of 3 finalists shortlisted in the Ned Kelly Awards for true crime writing.
