Craig Willis's Biography
For more than 30 years Craig Willis has been regarded as one of this country’s best Masters of Ceremonies.
He is currently engaged as the Compere for the Australian Football League, and is known as the “voice of the AFL”.
He is also regarded as the “voice of tennis” after nearly 30 years as the man who introduces the players onto centre court at the Australian Open Tennis and at all domestic Davis Cup and Fed Cup ties.
Throughout his years as a compere, he has hosted many significant events such as the Opening of the Olympic Stadium in Sydney and the return of the Olympic flame to the MCG, the venue for the 1956 Olympic Games.
In 1996 he was part of the 7 Network Australia team which covered The Atlanta Olympic Games and in 2000 he was selected as the Court Announcer for the Tennis competition at the Sydney Olympic Games, then Athens in 2004 and in 2008 he went to Beijing in China, completing a number of tasks there for the Organising Committee of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and was Centre Court announcer for the tennis competiton.
Each year he hosts numerous functions for each of the Clubs involved in the Australian Football League.
His voice is also in great demand with overseas companies and sporting organisations looking for an “Aussie” accent which everyone can understand!!
He is in demand as a corporate “host” having worked with the Australian Rugby Union at the World Cup…hosting events for Microsoft, Telstra and Australia Post, and also acting as compere at events for the International Management Group and Golf Australia at major golfing events in Australia.

Over the years he’s donated his time to many charitable groups including the MS Society, Diabetes Australia, The Paralympic movement, Kids Help Line, Kids Tennis Foundation, and The Open Family.
