Jamie Dunn's Biography
Jamie Dunn is without a doubt Queensland’s most well-rounded radio performer. Having spent the last couple of years as head sandcastle builder on the Sunshine Coast, he returns to Brisbane to the place and people in his heart.
The man once described as ‘The ugliest solo professional performer in Australia today’ has muscled his way to the cutting edge of TV, Radio and Stage with an amazing flair for consistency, creativity and relentless self-preservation.
For over two decades Jamie has been the voice and personality of Australian Television’ most successful children’s character Agro, winning 10 TV Week Logie awards. For the 15 years, he was the comedy mouthpiece of the number one breakfast show in Brisbane before a move up to the Sunshine Coast.
Jamie’s early performing days were spend as a highly successful singer song-writer and as drummer for the Brisbane band ‘Hands Down’.
His formative years were spent in Australia and the United States, honing musical skills that were to become invaluable to his commercial pop music career.
Jamie Dunn is called upon as a regular MC, and with his satirical observations on current affairs and quick off-the-cuff wit makes an excellent after-dinner comedian. When you see Jamie Dunn performing it’s not hard to argue that, when it comes to comedy, size does matter.
