Testimonials for Jillian Whiting
Jillian was a perfect MC for our Gala Awards night! Easy to deal with, professional, warm and engaging. Jillian kept the night on track and we received great feedback from our guests.
Our client event was a great success and having Jillian Whiting as our MC ensured proceedings ran smoothly. She was professional, well prepared and the perfect choice. Our client was very happy and so were we!
Jeanine Bribosia, The Cru Media
Jillian was easy to work with. She did a lot of reading before the event to ensure she was up on the topic. She took the brief to ensure she was providing exactly what the client was after. Her presentation style is confident and professional but relaxed and our audience knew they were in good hands from the opening remarks.

Jillian Whiting's Biography
A Queenslander through and through, Jillian was born in Mackay in the state’s north, before moving to Brisbane to attend high school.
Her childhood dream of becoming a writer and reporter was realised soon after graduating from the University of Queensland with a double degree in Journalism. In 1991 Jillian launched her TV career in Channel Seven’s Brisbane newsroom.
In 1996, Jillian made the move to Channel Nine, as a reporter and newsreader. She teamed with Bruce Paige in 2001 to present the state’s top rating 6pm news bulletin.
After starting a family, Jillian moved to take up hosting the long running Queensland public affairs show, “Extra” in 2006, as well as Nine’s Gold Coast news bulletin.
With 2 young daughters, Jillian made the biggest change in her career in 2009, returning to Channel Seven to take up the dream role as a presenter with the enormously successful travel show, “Queensland Weekender”. She is now part of the team presenting on its high-rating sister show, “The Great South-East”.
The corporate suits, though, weren’t retired; and in 2010 and 2011 Jillian was called on to present Channel Seven’s Queensland bulletin and the national news on “Weekend Sunrise”. She is now part of the Queensland Sunrise team, reporting live from any breaking news location when required.
Jillian is a very poised and polished MC and facilitator, often requested to host corporate events and conferences, fundraisers and networking functions including a long standing 9 year relationship with “Business Chicks”, a national networking group.
Jillian’s years of experience performing live on television has lead to a successful career as and MC and facilitator. She is currently a presenter on Channel Seven’s local lifestyle program, The Great Day Out, and a member of the Queensland Women in Media Committee.
Her extensive experience and high profile has now led to a role as a director at Media Potential, working with some of Australia’s leading brands and businesses in media and presentation training and communication workshops.
Surviving more than two decades in a notoriously unpredictable business is a source of pride for Jillian who continues to adapt to this dynamic industry.
