Melissa Doyle is an award-winning Journalist and News Presenter. She also hosts weekend breakfast on the Smooth FM (NOVA Entertainment) radio network & won the 2014 ACRA for Best Newcomer.
Melissa hosted the Seven Network’s flagship current affairs program, Sunday Night for 5 years.
She anchored the national 4PM news service on the Seven Network for two years and was a Senior News Correspondent and contributor to the Sunday Night program during that time.
In 2014, she released a best selling memoir called Alphabet Soup.
From 1997-99 and 2002 to 2013, Melissa hosted Australia’s number one breakfast show, Sunrise. She graduated from Charles Sturt University with a Degree in Broadcast Journalism and began her career as a television news reporter in Canberra, joining the Seven Network in 1995. She has covered major news stories around the world.
Melissa has interviewed some of the world’s most famous faces, from Jane Fonda, Katy Perry and Stevie Nicks to Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, Jerry Lewis and Justin Bieber.
As one of televisions most charismatic and popular partnerships, Mel and Kochie (David Koch) have hosted landmark televisions specials such as TV Turns 50, Reach out to Asia Tsunami Appeal and Where Are They Now?
Mel is devoted to her many charities. She is the National Patron for Make A Wish and an ambassador for Westmead Children’s Hospital, World Vision, Children’s Cancer Institute and the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
Melissa is also an ambassador for the Federal Government’s National Road Safety Council and is the Number One Ticket Holder for the GWS Giants (AFL) and Whittlesea Eagles (Vic AFL).
Melissa co-authored the Working Mothers Survival Guide in 2007.
