Currently Head of Content for the Triple M Network and Localworks, Mike Fitzpatrick ‘Fitzy’ is a popular Australian radio personality and programmer.He anchored The Cage breakfast show on Triple M Melbourne, Sydney & Adelaide with James Brayshaw, Peter Berner, Brigitte Duclos and Matt Parkinson from January 2002 until November 2007.
Fitzy started out in the media at the tender age of 15 at radio station 2BS in Bathurst. Somehow Fitzy graduated from Charles Sturt University's School of Communications in 1995 (he only made it to year 10 so we still don’t know how he even got in to University!) After University, and harbouring a desire to be the next great Aussie actor, Fitzy joined various theatre companies where he worked, pretty much for free, for most of the next 12 months.
With the bills piling up and the rego on his car expired, Fitzy turned to TV where he appeared in the drama’s Heartbreak High & GP; was an interviewer for Brisbane's 'Click on Ten'; and host of 'Video Cliches' for MTV Australia.
In 1999 Fitzy joined the Triple M radio network, where he has been ever since. His TV acting credits include Australian drama's Heartbreak High and G. P.
He has also appeared as the host of Video Cliches and Most Wanted for MTV Australia; appeared on Channel Ten's Joker Poker and Channel Nine's Hole in the Wall. Somehow Fitzy featured as one of Cleo Magazines '50 Most Eligible Bachelors' in 2003 & 2005; last year he was MC for Men's Health magazines, 'Extraordinary Men, Extraordinary Achievements' events.
