Mike Pratt's Biography

Mike Pratt is best known for his “Peak Performance” book and courses, but is also known in academic circles as the past Dean of the Waikato Management School. His latest book investigates models of some of the world’s most sustainable enterprises and makes Mike an expert on the subject.
Mike has researched corporate sustainability and can present ways to implement sustainability models and illustrate how to create value from sustainability. Mike is a former member of the board of Sustainable Network Interests in New Zealand. It is a topic close to his heart and more and more in demand by corporate organisations.
Because of Mike’s research for both his books, he has worked with some of the world’s biggest organisations. This has made him an expert at forecasting and applying global and consumer trends.
In 2002 Mike Pratt co-authored the best-selling international business book “Peak Performance – Business Lessons from the World’s Top Sports Organizations” with Clive Gilson, Kevin Roberts and Ed Weymes.
Mike joined the University of Waikato in 1990 as Dean of the Waikato Management School, a role he held until the end of 2007. His scholarly interests embrace accountability, organisation theory, leadership, managing change, and the new economy.
