Darwin comedian and MC Amy Hetherington delivers energy, positivity and fun when she’s hosting an event.
The joyful and clever comic has been MCing for over a decade and has a bag of tricks available to keep the event on time, cohesive and entertaining.
She’s charming, cheeky and authentic and is always up for a chance to celebrate people’s achievements and stories. Known for weaving stories about Darwin into her hosting she’s uniquely Territorian and adds a point of difference to an event.
In terms of her comedy, Amy's sold out shows across the country, including recently on a 20,000km regional tour around outback Australia. And she was the winner of the 2023 Best Comedy Show at FringeWorld Perth, so you know she can tell a few entertaining yarns.
For the past 8 years Amy has been developing and presenting workshops for Territory businesses, organisations, youth/school groups and individuals. From customised programs on public speaking, soft-skills development, social media, self-promotion, content creation and wellbeing - I’ve developed workshops suited to any professional or personal development context.
The thing that sets my workshops apart is they are highly interactive and ‘gamified’. At the core of how I operate I want things to be fun - so throughout my workshops you’ll be putting the new knowledge into practise and actively participating. It really helps drive home those learning outcomes and helps people increase their confidence in the new skill area.
Amy is driven by using her energy, optimism and communications skills to help you reach audiences, facilitate skills development, share your stories and make your events/projects more enjoyable.
Amy’s clients are from various industries ranging from construction to accounting to student groups and arts organisations. She’s worked with Government, private enterprises, individuals and community groups.
