Cameron's personal story is one of extraordinary transformation. A rising rugby league star, he was just 19 and signed to the Sydney Roosters when a car accident left him a quadriplegic. That moment changed everything, but what could have ended his story instead became the turning point for an extraordinary new one.
Cameron went on to represent Australia in Wheelchair Rugby, winning a Silver medal at the 2008 Beijing Paralympics, and Gold at both the 2012 London and 2016 Rio Games. He received the Order of Australia Medal in 2014 for his contribution to sport.
Since transitioning to the mining sector Cameron has played a key role in psychosocial hazard risk management and workplace wellbeing. Playing a key role in award-winning workplace programs addressing bullying, harassment and discrimination. Through trauma-informed systems, he helps organisations embed psychological safety into their leadership frameworks, ensuring high-risk industries support both compliance and care in equal measure.
With a Master of Leadership and over two decades of experience spanning elite sport and corporate leadership, Cameron is the founder of Perception Performance, where he partners with businesses to build high-performing, inclusive environments.
