Paul's aim is to make economics accessible and interesting, helping to educate and inform people. ‘Too many economists speak and write in economics jargon.’
The most inspiring regular feedback he receives is that people find my presentations engaging and that they really “get it”. He never use notes and rarely use slides and lives by the adage that if I can’t explain it to my mum, then I don’t understand it well enough for it to be useful to non-economists.
To fuel this, his friends and family would attest, that he lives and breathes economics.
Paul manages a small research team and produce regular analytical work. He is an avid reader of daily market and economic news flow, analytical reports and economics journals but also has a keen interest in history and geopolitics. Paul's view is that a broad perspective brings different insights.
Paul writes about the economy most days and find that this discipline that helps him to frame and clarify his thoughts.
