An elite AFLW player, qualified physiotherapist, and emerging media voice whose journey from first-time footballer at 18 to premiership winner and multiple All-Australian exemplifies resilience, adaptability, and high performance.
Drawing on her experiences in elite sport, health, and leadership, Libby delivers engaging insights on teamwork, accountability, and thriving under pressure.
Libby Birch’s sporting journey is nothing short of remarkable. Originally an elite junior netballer, she made the bold switch to Australian Rules Football in 2016 and quickly became one of the AFLW’s most decorated players.
The first four-time AFLW Premiership winner — with the Western Bulldogs (2018), Melbourne Demons (2022), and North Melbourne (2024,25) — Libby has also made history as the first player in AFL/AFLW history to win premierships at three different clubs. She is also a dual AFLW All-Australian (2020, 2022), a 4 time All-Australian Squad Member and the first Victorian player in AFLW history to reach both 50, 75 and 100 games (3rd player overall). Today, she continues her career with the North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos.
Beyond the field, Libby is a passionate advocate for women’s sport and a strong voice for gender equality in the sporting industry. She is an established media and public speaking professional, engaging audiences across radio, television, print and live events with her insight and storytelling.
In 2025, Libby became a published author with Libby’s Footy Adventures — the first AFLW picture book, created to inspire the next generation by showcasing girls playing footy.
