Andre Eikmeier's Biography
André Eikmeier is the founder of Good Empire.
After dropping out of uni to start a failed family business, an acting career in four out of five of Australia's worst TV shows, a singing career that never transcended being lead singer in a One Hit Wonders covers band, a theatre company that imploded on its first production, an events company that peaked at the launch of an adult sex toy brand, a film company that nearly saw him plummet to his death from a joy ride helicopter, and a year-long kombi wine adventure around Australia...

It’s Time to Save the F**king World. You game?
A tenacious story of failure, wine, and trying to make a difference
If not me, then who? And if not now, then when?
That thought set my life on a completely new path a few years ago.
My name’s Andre, and I’d like to share with you a story – it’s my story.
It’s a story about a search, I guess, for… meaning. For belonging. For worthiness.
It’s a story of fear. Failure. Shame. Loneliness. Powerlessness. Hopelessness.
It’s also a story of acceptance. Redemption. Pride. Community. Empowerment. And hope.
And if that sounds a bit pretentious, I’d like to remind you that you got a guy up on stage who started a company called Wine Motherf**ker, so that’s on you.
Mostly, though – and I’m going to totally spoil the ending here - it’s a story of finally realising, and accepting my privilege and my responsibility to the planet, and to the people in the world with less privilege and opportunity than me.
I’d like to talk about that with you, in the next half an hour or so, this idea of responsibility.
And what that means to you.
As a person. As a company, which is also a collective of people. As a brand, and the community of people who gather around your brand, your customers.
All of us.
Can we make a difference in the world?
And would you, if you knew you could?
If not you, then who? And if not now, then when?
But let’s first go back a bit, and don’t worry, I’m not going to bring up every word I say on a slide, I’m actually a bit shit with a slide clicker, I just wanted to let a few of the words that have shaped my life sit with you.
Give you a chance to feel what they mean to you.
Because although this is my story, it might be your story too…
