Bizircus's Biography
Bizircus began 20 years ago as a collective of acrobats, artists, street performers and musicians. Since then the company has been dedicated to creating fresh new circus comedy shows, combining contemporary physical comedy with timeless acrobatic feats and to keep audiences swinging between fits of laughter and gasps of amazement.
The current ensemble combines experienced street and stage performers, with emerging new talent, writers, musicians and directors. The desire to achieve artistic excellence, has led them to continually train and improve skills, learning from the worlds best circus and theatre teachers in Australia and overseas.
Bizircus presents stilt walking, street theatre, circus, comedy, fire acts and corporate entertainment performing all over the world, specialising in combining highly-skilled circus acts with hilarious comedy.
Drawing influence from Chinese circus, European street theatre, modern dance, and slapstick traditions worldwide, the troupe has been trained by acrobats and clowns from France, Russia, China, Brazil, Kenya, and the UK.
Combining these diverse traditions with their own unique Australian style, Bizircus blends physical skill and comedy, into performances which hurdle language and cultural barriers.
Bizircus is one of Western Australia’s primary cultural exports, regularly touring to Asia, Europe, and the Americas, and in 2010, represented the State at the World Expo in Shanghai China.
Bizircus Trio
Expect spectacular acrobatic action from these 3 quirky characters including juggling, handstands, lasso, tower of chairs, hilarious physical comedy and even a touch of magic! Suitable for all occasions, and can be separated into three segments to suit cabaret or dinner style events. A version of the show without dialogue is available for non-English speaking audiences. For large outdoor events a crowd gathering segment can be added at the start of the show.
Fire Spectacular
6 spectacular minutes of heart-stopping fire tricks - juggling, eating, spinning, amazing flaming hoop and more - to pumping dance music. Suitable anywhere with darkness. Stands alone as an act or as a part of another Bizircus show.
