Danni Hunter's Biography
Danni Hunter is the Founder and Principal of Hunter Collective, a strategic advisory firm working with diverse organisations to solve complex problems, achieve growth and expand their impact. With an extensive executive career spanning government and the private sector, Danni now uses her knowledge, skills and experience to work with organisations who want to make a difference in their industry or sector.
As Victorian Executive Director of the Property Council of Australia, Danni represented one of the economy’s most significant industries. In this role she was responsible for advising and influencing state policymakers and regulators on issues that impacted the property sector including housing, business conditions, population growth and livability, transport, infrastructure and the health of the economy.
Danni holds several key advisory positions to Government in which she provides advice on policy issues including increasing gender equality in the building and construction sector and improving design outcomes in the City of Melbourne.
Danni is a hands-on leader with deep experience in policy, advocacy, stakeholder engagement and organisational leadership, previously holding senior roles as the Chief Executive Office of the Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA Victoria), and as an advisor to the State Government. She has volunteered as a strategic advisor to Beyond Blue and is a former Trustee of the Caulfield Racecourse Reserve Trust.
When Danni was appointed CEO of UDIA Victoria in 2015, she was the youngest person and first female to hold the role. She is passionate about increasing diversity within business leadership and finding solutions to systemic problems facing the community including homelessness and housing affordability.
Danni is a dynamic and nationally recognised spokesperson, regularly sharing her views on property, business, diversity, population growth and the economy through regular media appearances, events and keynote presentations.
Danni’s most important and rewarding role is as wife to Darren and mum to Jackson and Macy who keep her energised and enthusiastic about life and the future.
