A trail blazer in the Australian Rules Football industry, Diana was the first ever female president of a men’s metropolitan football league and the first woman appointed to the VFL Tribunal. In her role as a Geelong Football Club director, Diana Taylor was instrumental in the establishment of the first AFLW team at the Cats. This was acknowledged nationally with her appointment to the AFLW Competition Committee.
A trail blazer in the Australian Rules Football industry, Diana was the first ever female president of a men’s metropolitan football league and the first woman appointed to the VFL Tribunal. More recently, she was appointed as the first female Vice President of the Geelong Football Club. In 2012, Diana was a finalist in the AFL Woman of the Year Award.
She became the first woman in 163 years to hold the role of Vice President of the Geelong Football Club, winners of the 2022 AFL Premiership.
Diana has over 20 years’ experience as a lawyer, director, business owner and consultant and has unique life experiences and professional skills that are strategically applied to support every client.
Diana’s operational sporting experience was further extended in 2018 when she was appointed as Netball Australia’s inaugural General Counsel.
In 2016, Diana was extremely proud to win the 2016 Telstra Business Women’s Award for Corporate and Private for Victoria and went on to appear as a national finalist.
Diana is a proud product of Geelong and still calls the region home. She was part of the early graduate years of the Deakin University Law School and worked at Myer Geelong as her first paid job.
While Geelong will always be her home and is the location of her business, Diana consults with clients and organisations nationally.
Family and community is central to all that Diana does and her ‘happy place’ is when she’s surrounded by the ones she loves and giving of her time to improve the lives of others.
