Dr Elephant's Biography

Dr Elephant is fronted by Damien Wicks who is not only known for his powerful and versatile voice but also as a contestant on season 2 of Australia’s Biggest Loser. Dr Elephant are a 3 piece rock party band who play everything from pub gigs to major events such as Darwin’s V8 supercars and countless supports to all the major acts that tour through Darwin.

Dr. Elephant were Darwin's longest running cover band until moving to Cairns in 2014, pumping out all of your favourite tunes at all of your favourite venues catering for all ages. Based in Far North Queensland, making Cairns their new home Dr Elephant are already establishing regular gigs in some of Cairns' best and most iconic venues. Dr Elephant specialise in pub gigs, parties, weddings, major events and corporate shows.

Damien Wicks - lead vocals and bass

Damien fronts the band with a versatile voice and huge range and only recently also taken on the role of bass player. Damo's engaging presence has been the driving force of Dr. Elephant since the bands beginnings 14 years ago.

Danny Johnson - lead guitar and vocals

Danny is Damo's right hand man and brings an energy and enthusiasm to the stage like no other. Danny has played several roles in the band over the years going from guitar to bass and now back in his rightful position as guitarist of Dr. Elephant where he inspires the others to be better at what they do.

Ben Robson - drums & vocals

Ben is an allrounder who plays guitar as well as he does drums but chooses the drum seat in Dr Elephant as the essential backbone of the band.  He is the smiling assassin!
