Jackie Furey's Biography

Jackie Furey is recognised nationally and internationally as one of our countries top university educated psychotherapists. As the director of Bedrooms to Boardrooms®, an organisation that specialises in personal and professional performance, she has been able to change people’s lives in many ways.
In the early 90’s Jackie Furey worked with the renowned South Pacific Private treatment centre, helping people to deal with depression, anxiety, alcohol & drug dependency issues. The clinic caters for people from all walks of life and it was here Jackie gained her vast experience for helping people. Her reputation as a clinician who could change people’s lives and those of the people around them, in a way that brought spectacular results, quickly grew. This culminated in Jackie being asked to make a documentary with the ABC in relation to how people could and would change their lives – and why. The response to the program was overwhelming and the show subsequently sold to the BBC UK.
Today Jackie Furey finds herself much in demand as a clinician who brings therapy and the ‘real world’ into alignment. She achieves this by way of regular speaking engagements, facilitating workshops and conducting individual and group sessions. Jackie works with corporations, small to medium enterprises, not for profit organisations, families and individuals. The results she has achieved have given her professional standing and respect in the corporate and business community both here and overseas.
Jackie Furey’s innate understanding of what drives people has resulted in her helping many organisations align staff, professional and personal goals with corporate strategy. As a speaker or group facilitator, she offers a fresh perspective on issues that management and employees face on a day-to-day basis. Jackie continues to make frequent guest appearances on radio and television, and her opinion is regularly cited in the print media on topical issues. She currently holds a Clinical Advisory position to the board of South Pacific Private and conducts a private practice from Sydney Australia. Jackie also enjoys hosting the enormously popular relationship show – “In session” with Jackie Furey – from the bedroom to the boardroom® on Sydney’s leading radio station MIX 106.5.
Whether on stage before thousands, working with a handful of senior executives in the boardroom or facilitating workshops on the factory floor Jackie Furey engages the audiences' attention with thought-provoking insights, rich content, and humorous anecdotes.
