Jon Bridges's Biography
Jon is involved in many aspects of the broadcasting industry. He has been a familiar face on New Zealand television for many years, with hit TV shows, a hugely successful radio spot, a couple of books and a comedy act.
Jon worked at TV3 for six years as a presenter on Ice TV with Nathan Rarere and Petra Baghurst. He has a string of credits in hosting, including Away Laughing, Risk and So You Think You’re Funny, in addition to hosting awards, New Zealand Music Awards, New Zealand Wearable Art Awards.
Behind the camera, Jon co-wrote Secret Agent Men which was a Qantas Award winner, Amazing Extraordinary Friends Series I & II, Who Ate All the Pies as well as the Qantas Awards Television Coverage 2006. He created, produced and field directed Snatch Our Booty, Sportzah! and presented and produced Tour of Southland (Cycle Race coverage) and produced The Panel.
As a published writer, Jon is a regular Listener columnist, he co-wrote Ice TV Guide To Life, and is co-author of No.8 Wire as well as being a comedy columnist for Auckland CityMix Magazine.
Jon is in huge demand for corporate videos as well as Mcing and entertains at many events. He is still very much involved in the comedy circuit and comedy debates.
