Kate Collins

Kate Collins's Biography

Kate Collins was born and raised in South Australia and is proud to call Adelaide home.

She completed a Bachelor of Media at Adelaide University in 2005 and a post graduate Diploma in Journalism at the University of South Australia in 2006. While completing her studies, Kate worked as a weekend newsreader at Austereo before making the switch to TV, joining the Nine News team as a general reporter.

Currently, Kate presents the weekday edition of Adelaide’s Nine News, and has quickly become a favourite amongst Adelaide viewers and is a trusted and admired newsreader.

Away from presenting the news, Kate is an accomplished Master of Ceremonies and is often invited to MC a range of profile events in Adelaide, some of her past event including:

• HIA – South Australian Housing Awards
• Myer Events
• Westfield Events

Kate also donates her time to a number of charities including The McGrath Foundation, Cyctic Fibrosis SA, Childhood Cancer Association, Royal Society for the Blind and Barkuma Inc.
