Michael’s contribution to the coverage of cycling was recognised in 2011 when he won the Australian Sports Commission Media Award for Best Coverage of Sport by an Individual (Broadcast Media) in the same year the network was nominated for a Logie for its coverage of the world’s biggest and most prestigious cycle race.
With close to 20 years experience as a cycling journalist, Michael has reported on the world’s biggest cycling events including the Giro d’Italia, Vuelta a Espana and the Tour Down Under.
