Based in Darwin, Quintessential is a professional wind quintet – that’s flute, oboe, clarinet, horn and bassoon. The group specialises in providing classy background music entertainment for weddings, corporate functions, and special events. Quintessential is made up of Darwin’s best wind players, and prides itself in its professionalism, and in providing quality musical entertainment at the highest level.
Quintessential is completely acoustic, and can play successfully both indoors and out. The group produces a warm, rich sound, which is perfect for background music in many settings. Quintessential has an extensive repertoire of tunes ranging from light renaissance, baroque and classical music, through to a large jazz selection and popular songs.
The range of music performed makes the group unique in Darwin and also extremely versatile. Quintessential is always careful in its music selection, making sure that the right style of music is played for every part of each occasion.
