Syd is equally at home as a Master of Ceremonies with a humorous edge, or as a featured speaker and stand up comedian.

The son of a well-known Australian comedian, Syd Heylen Jnr started honing his comedy skills early. He cut his teeth writing gags for Graham Kennedy on Channel 9’s Coast to Coast, as well as for Starsearch on Channel 10, all the while developing his own comedy at live venues around the country, and performing regularly on The Midday Show. Amongst others Syd’s TV credits include Foxtel’s Cliptomanics, Ridgey Didge, Sweet and Sour, and A Country Practice.

Versatility is one of the keys to Syd’s success. He has performed with show-business legends such as Englebert Humperdinck, The Village People, and The Supremes, performed with the Australian Opera Company, has a degree in Politics and is a graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. He has also toured throughout South East Asia and the UK and performed to guests for exclusive cruise lines such as Radisson, Crystal, and Silver Seas.
