The Glamma Rays are a captivating new retro jazz/pop vocal quartet. These four charismatic women have each built successful musical careers in their own rights, and their collective talents create an unforgettable experience.

Singing catchy, original songs with a vintage bent, The Glamma Rays draw on influences from the 30’s, 40’s, 50’s and 60’s. They have been compared to The Mammas and The Papas, The Andrew Sisters, Burt Bacharach, The Beach Boys and girl groups of the 50’s and 60’s.

The group’s a’cappella style is accompanied by minimal instrumentation, and what instrumentation it is! The beautiful stylings of Spanish guitar, ukelele and percussion create an enchanting atmosphere that appeals to a broad demographic.

Each woman brings her own individual vocal style, talent and personality to the group. Headed by renowned singer/songwriter, composer and arranger Jodi Phillis who sang lead for 90’s alternative pop/rock group ‘The Clouds’ before going on to release several Aria nominated solo albums, The Glamma Rays have performed to an overwhelmingly positive audience response. With their gorgeous retro look, sassy personalities, timeless original tunes and mesmerizing harmonies, there is not a heart in any audience that these women cannot melt.

With a successful EP titled “The Austinmer EP” to their names, the group are currently recording their debut album.
