A CURIOUS REBEL, READY TO HAVE THE DIFFICULT CONVERSATIONS THAT SEE US CONNECT, GROW AND MOVE THE DIAL - Yemi Penn is a global thought-leader on igniting our rebellious curiosity at an individual, team and organisational level.
An Engineer by profession, Entrepreneur by passion, Yemi fuses analytical thinking with creativity to produce superior outcomes. Transformation is the theme across Yemi’s contributions, whether this is opening a F45 gym in London, a café in Sydney’s South-West Suburbs, authoring a book, managing complex projects such as Crossrail and Sydney Metro or producing an impactful documentary.
‘Our limitations — are bound by the box (cage) we were either born into or adopted along the way. Thinking liminally allows you to not just think outside the box but re-define the boundaries of the box by getting curious about the threshold.’
Yemi’s success lies in her ability to challenge status quo in a compassionate yet laser focused way. She was a finalist for Women’s Agenda Leadership awards 2022, Sony Film Festival (Australia and New Zealand) 2021 and represented Australia in the 2019 Web Summit in Lisbon, Portugal
Speaking Topics Include
Managing uncertainty
Understanding our primary needs and how this relates to our resilience blueprint when dealing with uncertain times
Sustainable Peak Performance + Mindset Transformation
Liminal means threshold. To solve problems, we will need to shift our perspectives and change the mindset in which these problems were created by testing our threshold.
Inclusion and Belonging
Tapping into her research, Yemi shares how our belief systems subconsciously exclude others. How much the body keeps the score yet we all have a common need to belong.
Courage and Resilience
Our resilience blueprint is individual to us, meaning our specific distressing events is what creates resiliency in us, and the approach we take to get through it is what builds our blueprint.
